every mirror is different, could it be different memory or side of the character? one he doesn't want to see, so he destroys it. the colorful one is his most recent or biggest heartbreak or something, that's why there's blood and color. he hates all sides of him, so he covers his face in his hands, just so he doesn't have to see... it reminds me of my depression and anxiety, but much of them are broken or bloody. i probably relate to this to much ... yeah, sorry...
Not to diminish the meaning or anything, but where does the blood come from? Is the mirror itself somehow bleeding or did the person punch/touch it? If so, shouldn't there be blood on the hands, or is it only on the palms, so the viewer doesn't see it? I'm sorry, it's probably a ridiculous thing to mention, but it was kinda the first thing I noticed (probably because it's the only aspect of the art which is colorful).
I could've been that he smashed it with his forehead. I've never done it so hard that it bled (nor did I do it on a mirror), but the general feeling of this picture is defintely a "smash your head"-feeling for me. I... am sorry if I scared you ._.
That would just make his self-image issues even worse! He looks like he needs a hug more than anything!
I mean, I assume the issue here stems from self-worth and image issues, just judging by the smashed mirror, him covering his face, and the blood on the other mirror. This could actually be an attempt at kissing his own reflection gone horribly wrong.
